Julia Friederich
Julia was born and raised in Atlanta, where all the best chicken wings come from. She got her BA in Chinese and anthropology at the University of Georgia, her MA in medical anthropology and qualitative public health research at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and her MS in Physician Assistant Studies at Shenandoah University in Virginia. Julia lived in the D.C. area for 5 years working in a non-profit serving people affected by pulmonary hypertension. Once she realized she wanted to work in medicine, she moved into a Maryland fire station and began working in emergency medical services at several area hospitals, where she solidified her Spanish language skills. Eventually, Julia decided to move back to the the South to be closer to family, mountains, and Dolly Parton. She loves working at Clinica Medicos, learning languages, hiking, and eating Korean food.
