Applicants MUST be available to work weekends as the clinic is open 7 days a week to better serve the community.

Expected knowledge, skills and abilities are as follows:

*Bilingual (english/spanish)

* Manage Front Office duties in a fast paced environment

*Managing multiple phone lines

* Verbal and written fluency of Spanish and English(required).

* Demonstrate accounting skills such as accepting payments & balancing a cash drawer.

* Demonstrate basic computer skills.

Successful applicants can expect to be trained in:

* Use of Electronic Medical Record (AthenaOne) software including

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Patient check-in and check-out

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Clínica Sonrisas Dental Assistant

We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to our Spanish-speaking patients. As a critical member of our dental team, you will have the opportunity to lead by example, mentor other team members, and contribute to the success of our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and providing chairside assistance.

  • Take patient records and maintain accurate patient charts.

  • Lead, train, and supervise other dental assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Communicate effectively with patients in Spanish, explaining treatment plans, addressing concerns, and providing oral health education.

  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Tennessee.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) Required.

  • Proven experience as a dental assistant, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in dental X-rays, impressions, and sterilization techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records systems is a plus.

  • Additional certifications can be obtained on the job.
